This site is designed to be a forum for news on in the document imaging, information capture, and enterprise content management industries. It's edited by Ralph Gammon, publisher of the Document Imaging Report, and an analyst of these markets. After almost 20 years, the document imaging market is finally reaching maturity and being subsumed into the world of more general IT applications. This makes it a very exciting time to be involved with the industry.

hi Rob,
We recently started our beta that makes any twain scanner as wireless scanner: http://www.scanworkssoftware.com/cloudscanbeta.aspx
this project has different clients: silverlight based rich client that is on market for about 6 months and has hundreds of users everyday and just added HTML only client that was designed for iphone/android/ipad (and can be even used in non-mobile Chrome and Safari if somebody likes simple interface).
E.g. i have wireless home mfp HP 4750 that i now placed in more appropriate place at home and can scan without PC near, very convenient.
We are going to add many more features soon and make more integrations ("we" - former Captiva and Microsoft empl).
I see that wireless scanners topic is interesting for last several posts. Let me know if you have any questions: denis@scanworkssoftware.com
