Electronic Medical Records

There sure has been a lot of buzz on this topic since the stimulus package with passed promising like $30 billion for doctors to move to electronic healthcare records. Here's a chat that showed up on Yahoo Finance with the CEO Aethena. Fairly brief. Fairly interesting.

Yes indeed ! Lost of activity. Hospitals and Physicians are taking a look at investing in small EMR systems, buying scanners and looking for Medicaid Medicare reimbursements.

More and more Doctors are moving towards EMRs. Have heard few hospitals have converted all their records from paper to digital. With the a large budget allocated by the Obama administration for converting all records electronic, doctors are using this apportunity to buy some EMR systems.

Still waiting for details on how the stimulus package money will be paid out.

DIReditor you seems like a doctor. The bill is already out, and i think must of the doctors should have received some kind of information of payments on EMR systems.

The issue of the security of these records is not receiving enough attention in my opinion. What happends when these records are sold to the highest bidder?
